 Bellringer:   Discuss what makes clothing so expensive?  Poor care of clothes we currently own.

Synchronize Chapter 18 to students.  Read pages 322-323 and 324.

Sew on buttons; sew through and shank examples.

Assign sewing machine license.  Work to achieve license.

Work to complete sewing machine license for those who are caught up in all other assignments.

Complete straight line sheets, curved line sheets, circle sheets, etc.

 

 

8th Grade FACS

Bellringer:  AIDS and STI role play.

Assign birth control pretest.

Watch the birth control video.  Go over the pretest.

Assign worksheets due for next class period.

 Activity sheets due at class time.

Assign going to www.sexetc.org  View and read the article from Montel Williams on rise in STI's among 15-24 years olds.

Read Chapter 5 pages 91-106.  Complete "in the Know" questions 1-10 pg 107-108.  Complete "What Would You Do" pg 108  Find info on pages103-104.

Questions due from pages 107-108.

Bellringer:Using the blackboard, have students create a list of activities that commonly take place in their kitchens at home. Are all meals served in the kitchen? Are laundry appliances part of the kitchen? Do they do their homework at the kitchen table? Do they see the kitchen as the center of work and family activity in their home?

Notes over pages 92-100.  Assign Science in the Kitchen to put together on Mon. the  7th. Assign wkshts A and C.

 

 

 

Entrepreneurship

Sign up list for workers at craft fair booth.

Plan for trip to store on Friday.

Make a sample for the craft fair.

Bell ringer:  review John Silvia's life. 

Assign due in class Section 4.1 and questions. pg 199.

 

Review the chapter and Role play service styles.

Assign section 4.2 and questions pg 208.

Prepare craft fair concession stand items.  Chili, Chicken noodle, ham sandwiches.
