Assign how to complete an assignment for FACS class.

Notes over reading with the 2-1 worksheet.

2-1 worksheet due for Thurs. class time.

Assign Playground safety worksheet, Complete How do you rate as a babysitter worksheet and hand in.

Go to website http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/babysitting/   and make a poster for yourself to promote your babysitting abilities.

Assign reading Section 2-2 pges 77-87.

8th Grade FACS

Hand out the Human Bingo game and explain the rules and requirements for Thursday class time.

Assign "Teens Preparing for the Real World"  Read Intro outloud to students.  Assign them to read pages 1-5.  Give out accompanying study guide to be completed by Thurs class time.

Review pages 1-5 of TPftRW using worksheet.  Hand in worksheet.  Assign reading pages 9-22 and assign study guide for use with the reading.  Study guide is due on Mon the 31st. Assign reading pages 23-38 for Monday.

Nutrition and Wellness

Info presented on why we are teaching this class.

Assign My food record and My Physical Activity Record handouts. Keep track for an entire day of both items.  Provide instruction on how to complete the records.

Play Trivia on Healthedventure.

Food Record and Physical Activity record due at class time.  Distribute copies of Are You Meeting Your Nutrition and Physical Activity Recommendations?  Complete sheets using the record sheets and www.MyPyramid.gov website and hand in. 

Complete by Monday for those not done in class.

Entrepreneurship

Share information from 4-square assignment. Collect 4 square assignment on definition of Entrepreneurship.

Assign finding entrepreneurs in Lake Andes assignment.

Begin working with money unit.

Continue working to read Sections 8.1-8.3 and complete questions. Due for Wed class time.

Watch video Valuing Diversity.  Write a paragraph reflection (see Prostart Chapter 8 Assignment sheet)

Find an internet article on someone who has a complaint about illegal interviewing tactics.

Work to complete 8-2 assignments until 10:30.

FACS 1

Discuss each of the scenarios that a partnership answered and be ready to share them with the entire class.  Discuss each as they are shared.

Work to complete "How empathic am I? in class.

Assign  "More about empathy" due for Thurs.

Go over the definition of intergrity.  Assign Handout 5 "Integrity"  Work on it together in class and then assign remainder for homework.
